Pebble Tossers 3rd Annual Ripple Run 5K/1M + Nonprofit Expo

The 3rd Annual Pebble Tossers RIPPLE RUN 5K/1M & Nonprofit Expo is a highly motivational, action packed, and FUN Service Event where children and families learn how to become active participants in our community. Through engaging hands-on activities, kids are given the exposure to new organizations so they can make a difference in our community.

The 5K run will be a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and the 1 mile fun run/walk will be stroller & dog friendly. The race route starts in Brook Run Park and continues around Pernoshal Park ending back in Brook Run Park.

The Nonprofit Expo at the end of the race will feature 20 nonprofits hosting their own mini-service projects related to their missions. Held in the City of Dunwoody’s Brook Run Park, this exciting, family experience is like none other.

Entry fees: $25/adults, $15/kids 12 & under, $20/charity “runner” (Registration fees go up October 1st) Discounts for youth groups or school teams! Email Jen at [email protected] for details.

The 2nd Annual Pebble Tossers RIPPLE RUN 5K/1M & Nonprofit Expo is a highly motivational, action packed, and FUN Service Event where children and families learn how to become active participants in our community. Through engaging hands-on activities, kids are given the exposure to new organizations so they can make a difference in our community. The event will be a meaningful way to celebrate the National Day of Service & Remembrance in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of  9/11 with community service, family togetherness, and healthy living.

The 5K run will be a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and the 1 mile fun run/walk will be stroller & dog friendly. The race will be the first on a new route that starts in Brook Run Park and continues around Pernoshal Park ending back in Brook Run Park. This will be the first race on this USATF certified route.

The Nonprofit Expo at the end of the race will feature nonprofits hosting their own mini-service projects related to their missions. Held in the City of Dunwoody’s Brook Run Park, this exciting, family experience is like none other.

ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

Our goal is to ensure the safety of every event participant and volunteer. In the occasion of severe weather, decisions to delay, relocate or cancel events will be made in consultation with local event jurisdictions, law enforcement, the Race Director and other officials. Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of hail, thunder and lightening. Pebble Tossers event personnel reserve the right to delay, relocate or cancel an event due to inclement weather.

Please review the event’s web page for any location specific details or changes. 

Decisions to delay, relocate or cancel an event could take place the day of the event, and updates of these decisions will be posted on the Pebble Tossers website.  We will also make every effort to also notify participants through other means of communication such as e-mail and Facebook. (Please note: Pebble Tossers phone lines are not staffed on weekends between 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.)

Event Delay

An event could be delayed for up to 60 minutes after the scheduled opening start time, if the weather forecast predicts conditions will improve.

Cancelations

An event could be canceled:

  • If the weather forecast predicts severe weather to continue beyond 60 minutes from the scheduled opening start time.
  • If, during or after a 60-minute delay, severe weather becomes imminent.
  • If the location of the event is deemed unsafe due to the effects of severe weather and there is no available enclosed space nearby.

In the case of a canceled event, a t-shirt pick-up and donation collection date/location will be scheduled within 1 month of the event date where participants can pick-up their event t-shirts. Shirts will not be mailed.

Additional Details

  • All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Canceled events will not be re-scheduled.
  • In the occasion an event proceeds during inclement weather, please dress accordingly. All participants travel to the event and participate at their own risk.
