How the Pebble Tossers'
Search Engine Works
To Find, Complete, and Record a Project:
1. Register Online...All Services are FREE For your child or group to start using Pebble Tossers' services, an adult needs to complete a brief registration. Registration enables Pebble Tossers to set up service hour accounts for each of your family members so you can track all of your volunteering efforts.
2. Choose Your Pebble Use the Pebble Tossers search engine to get matched with projects based on your child's age, interests and abilities. Or, search by a cause or organization you'd like to help. New charities, projects, and seasonal opportunities are added every week so you'll find something new each time you visit the site.
3. Take Aim and Toss It For each project, Pebble Tossers provides:
  • a project summary, estimated service hours required, a list of organizations needing that service, and the contact information
  • a planning guide to help you make the arrangements
  • a project print-out to take with you which summarizes all the information you need to complete and validate your service hours.
4. Start a Ripple of Giving Whether you found a project on Pebble Tossers, or found a project on your own, use your Service Hour Account to record ongoing service hours creating a cumulative report for school, civic or faith-based groups. Inspire others to get involved by sharing your experiences and encouraging them to start their own ripple of giving.
